Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises picks up from the end of The Dark Knight where Batman had to run after he took the blame for Harvey Dent’s (2 face) crimes. The Batman disappears and decides to fade but he feels compelled to come back as a new criminal threatens Gotham. This new enemy is Bane. His terrorist actions pull the Batman out of hiding in order to stop him and save Gotham.
