Godsend: Volume One

Almost any prophecy can tell you that someone or some people will come down to Earth and fulfill a mission that entitles them to become rulers of the world. But for Dolan and Jaime, it sure sucks when they find out they become the subject of a prophecy that has been waited to be active. Welcome to the crazy world of Godsend.

Godsend: Volume One is a project for the graphic novel Godsend, the story of the duo Dolan and Jaime who are thrust into the world of religion after Dolan accidentally pulls a god’s weapon from a rock. Because of Dolan’s actions, people from around their world are now after them, trying to get them to fulfill a mission that doesn’t quite make any sense at the moment. Since its creation, Godsend has already gotten three chapters complete. The story is thought-provoking and challenging, with many topics covering religion, prophecies and other themes that really makes you think about what religion is really all about.

The creator, Meg Gandy, has started the project on Kickstarter so she can publish the first three chapters into printed form. It’s her goal to make a great book that can be enjoyed anywhere. So far, the project is moving smoothly, with $3,600 of the $5,000 funded. She’s got 20 days to go. From the looks of it, this project looks interesting. I like stories and this one looks to be a good one. I hope this projects becomes a success.
